QUAILTY CHESAPEAKE BAY RETRIEVERS
At Queen Kennels we strive to produce dual-quality Chesapeake Bay Retrievers that are competitive in both the field and the show ring as well as wonderful family companions. Our dogs are members of our family. We breed for temperament, health, sound conformation and hunting instinct.
Abba's love for Chessies started when she was 15 and obtained her first bitch Tiffany as a juniors dog. After helping to finish Tiffany with her breeder Abba decided to get another Chessie from an amazing breeder-mentor Candy Van Dozer. Candy let Abba co-own and show Costa Rican Ch. Mexican Ch. Pan American Ch. American Ch. Xanadu Ravin' Houston Houston; a beautiful 7 year old male.
Abba lived on a ranch in Kopperl, TX with both her chessies (and many other dogs) where they enjoyed being dogs during the week. Still to this day Tiffany enjoys swimming and going to the beach, and retrieving a bumper for hours.
The name Queen Kennel is inspired by Abba's name. Although everyone wanted her kennel to be named Dancing Queen after the famous 70s rock band Abba's hit song. But Abba wanted something a little simpler, and that is where Queen Kennel came from.
Here are the beautiful dogs of Queen Kennels.
Ozzy was my Junior Showmanship dog who has retired and become my pet. Ozzy finished at 6 months-old in just one weekend. He has style and grace and demands attention in the ring.
Ozzy is my first Chinese Crested and my heart dog. I got Ozzy when he was a year and a half old. Ozzy is the greatest dog I have had and I adore him. He is my travel buddy and my cuddle pillow. He is being trained for Rally, Obedience, AKC and TDDA Agility.
Ozzy is owned by Shawn Clute andJamie Clute
Co-owned by Abba Furgason and Holly Furgason
And bred by the wonderful Karen Young
Caine is our first Aussie and comes to us from Veritas Kennel, and is bred by our dear friend Sharon McCully from San Antonio, TX. We are thrilled to have him with us at Queen Kennel and look forward to having him in the show ring.
Australian Shepherds are a breed I have always loved and wanted, and my these feelings grew more and more when I went and lived with Linda Konrad(Aussie breeder) in Texas. After whelping litters and just being around so any amazing dogs I was so happy when Sharon offered me Caine.
Caine will be trained for Agility as soon as he comes to live at Queen Kennel.

Tiffany is my first Chesapeake Bay Retreiver. She was given to me as a Junior Showmanship dog and now is mine to own, special and breed. Tiffany was my first real show dog and my first sporting dog. Because of Tiffany, I have since fallen head over heels for this amazing and beautiful breed. Tiffany started out her specials career with Best of Breed and a Group 4 placement. Tiffany is one single away from her Grand Championship.

Andrew Mansfield has been showing dogs for 16 years. With experience showing and grooming just about every breed. He started out showing beagles with his family, when he was 4 at international shows. Then eventually breeding making their kennel one of the top beagle kennels in the country for around 8 years.
He started working for handlers at the age of 11 and many of which among the top handlers in the United States, learning so much and a lot of the tricks of the trade. After starting in Juniors at the age of 10 he got invited to Eukanuba and Westminster his first year. Making finals at Eukanuba and placing 2nd at
Westminster; he continued on to winning Eukanuba at the age of 12 and placing again at Westminster. Leading him in the right direction towards becoming a Professional Handler.
Later on he became a live-in assistant for a few years to see how not only the life but how to run the business of becoming a Handler.
Now at the young age of 20 he's moving out on his own and starting off on his way in hope to becoming one of the top handlers in the nation.
Abba is a third generation fancier whose whole world has always been dogs. Her great aunt and uncle bred and showed Great Danes and Cocker Spaniels. Her mother is an obedience and Rally trainer/handler (and was voted the #1 Trainer in Houston, TX) as well as a Teacup Dog Agility Association judge. Her sister owns, breeds and shows American Staffordshire Terriers.
At a young age Abba started working for a local groomer, first with small things like making bows and bandannas. As she got
older she learned how to bathe and groom pet dogs. Abba has been in Obedience since she was very young, and started showing in conformation and juniors in her early teens showing her sisters 8 year-old Am Staff. As a Junior, Abba traveled and lived with most of the
handlers she worked for, learning all the little details of becoming a excellent handler.
Abba has found a true passion for Sporting and Working breeds. She has worked under many great handlers and breeders to master as many breeds as she can.
We are planning on breeding Group Placing (BIM) Ch. Monarch's I Think We're Alone now in late April to early May. Sire to me announced hopefully within the week.
Tiffany will not be bred for another two years after this breeding and then will be spayed and fully retired. You don't want to miss ou on this beautiful girl's puppies.
We are only taking 8 deposits for this up-coming litter and have a few already. For more information please email us.
